Tony Roberts, President/Chief Brand Builder
Tony is a strategy-driven, brand-focused 20 year veteran of the advertising industry. Prior to founding The BLÜ Group in 2004 he served as a senior account executive for a variety of large, national brands including Hickory Farms, NEBS, and Betty Crocker and also worked on the client side for General Mills.
Since The BLÜ Group's inception, Tony has dedicated his time to helping small-mid size businesses and organizations build strong brands (and strong bottom lines) while volunteering for a variety of civic and professional organizations, including serving on multiple boards and chairing a variety of committees. Some of the clients he has lead over the years include Coulee Bank, Crescent Jewelers, Welshire Capital, WinCraft, Features Sports Bar & Grill, and River Steel.

Tim Burkhalter, Vice President/Brand Designer
Tim oversees all aspects of the creative process for our client's work. He has over 18 years experience in print and online design and uses the professional skills gained through this experience to deliver superior creative for each project.
Tim has worked for large, national accounts including State Farm, Betty Crocker, and Anheuser Busch as well as numerous local companies such as Coulee Bank, ABEE Inc., U-Bake, Welshire Capital, String Swing, and Simmons Innovations. Tim has a BA in Commercial Art from Grand View University in Des Moines, IA and continually educates himself in design trends and design techniques.
For fun Tim enjoys time with his family and activities in the great outdoors. He has recently been backpacking in Yellowstone and closer to home in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in the Upper Peninsula. Lucy Neuberger, Creative Artist/Brand Designer
Lucy has a degree in graphic and web design from Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, MN. In addition to being an experienced designer for traditional media, Lucy has been designing and developing websites since joining BLÜ and continually educates herself with new trends and techniques in the worlds of print and web design.
Before joining BLÜ Lucy worked on large accounts for numerous major sports teams across the nation and around the world, including MLB, NHL, NFL, MLS, Juventus Football, and FCBarcelona to name a few. She also has worked with many local companies such as Sullivan's Supper Club, the Coulee Region Humane Society, Tri-Quest, and Winona Homes.
When Lucy isn't designing she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and traveling with her husband. If you asked her what her two favorite travel destinations are she would tell you "Maui, Hawaii and Germany are tied for first with the Caribbean as a close second." Cindy Roberts, Director of Market Research/Brand Architect
Cindy is a dynamic marketing research professional with 16 years experience developing and conducting quantitative and qualitative research plans using traditional and current methods. She is recognized for her unique combination of analytical skills and creative energy, and has a proven track record of demonstrable results that translate into customer satisfaction, retention and growth.
Cindy has experience in several industries including healthcare, education, technology, software, consumer products, insurance, and service industries. Holly Traffas, Copywriter
With more than twenty years of experience as a writer and editor, Holly has hundreds of newspaper and magazine features to her credit. She produces copy that both informs, entertains, and inspires action. Holly has worked as a standup comic and morning radio show host, writing original material for both. Her popular weekly humor column appeared for six years in the La Crosse Tribune.
A student of popular culture, Holly is an expert at crafting demographic-focused, SEO-rich web and Blog content. She is an experienced script writer with an ear for dialogue and has created compelling spots for both radio and television.
Amanda Maurer, Search Engine Optimization Intern
Amanda recently graduated with a master’s degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Over the past two years, Amanda has gained experience in social media, search engine optimization (SEO), blogging, market research, and analytics. She has been an intern at The Blu Group since the beginning of August 2015 and is very eager to learn and expand her knowledge.
In her free time, Amanda likes to play guitar and piano, and is constantly singing. She also enjoys finding new recipes to try in the kitchen, and spending time outside with her friends and family.
